Homes that have an electric fence gate are more secure and private. These kinds of gated homes can be found in subdivisions where there could be a gated entry or in single residential homes with a lot of land that the owner wants to keep private from trespassers. There are 2 different types of Electrical gates, many different automatic gate options and many different types of fences. There are different types of automatic gates to meet all of your needs which are showed below.

Swing Gates:
Swing gates have, in the past, been manually opened and closed. But these days, the manual operations of these gates have begun to be mechanized.

A swing gate may have either a single panel or a double panel. Double panel swing gates are used more in bigger properties whose entrance needs a larger double panel in order to accommodate it. Swing gates can be made from wrought iron, aluminum or wood. Wood is generally used by homeowners who do not want to be easily seen from the outside. As the name swing gate implies, this kind of gate swings outward or inward when opened with an automatic gate opener.

Sliding Gates:
Sliding gates also have been used manually in the past. They have become automated now and are similar to the swing gate in all aspects except that instead of swinging, sliding gates slide open.

There is usually a wheel attached to the sliding gate that slides along a track of some sort to open. A chain that is attached to a motor moves to open and close this kind of gate. This kind of gate is a good fit for a residence located on a busy street to allow for a quick opening that doesn’t take up too much space as it opens. Sliding gates also have the option of being made from wrought iron, aluminum or wood.

Types of Automatic Gates
Automatic gates also vary greatly. Mostly swing and sliding gates are operated by motors attached to pulleys or chains that pull gates open, though very slowly. Swinging gates need bigger motors than sliding gates because more energy is needed to move in a swinging motion than a sliding motion.

Remote or Automatic Detection
Some automatic gates open when a car drives up and its occupant triggers the remote sensor. These gates work automatically to open but are partially manual because someone is needed to push the button. Some automatic gate openers work to detect the presence of a car or a person and will automatically open for entrance.

Battery-Powered Gates
Battery-powered gates have an advantage over electric gates connected to the power grid in that they can be located anywhere. Being in proximity to the power grid and power lines are not required.

Solar-Powered Gates

With the trend of many homeowners turning towards green energy, automatic gate openers have an option of being solar-powered. Solar panels are located near the gate and gather sunlight energy and turn it into electrical energy and store it in a battery. This stored energy would be used whenever the gates open or close.
Automatic gates are gates that are electrically operated so they open with the push of a button: just what I want! More or less any type of gate can be automated: swing, sliding and lifting. Even if your existing gate is not automatic, changes can be made to make it automatic, provided that it is in a good condition and can open and close effortlessly, without any obstructions. You can also purchase premade automatic gates. An automatic gates openers operates by having a receiver fitted onto it that receives the signal from the transmitter, such as a small handheld remote control or even a keypad. The signal sent between the receiver and the transmitter triggers the gate to either open or close, this being done by the electric motor.

Safety: Automatic gates give their owners an extra sense of safety and security to their homes. They provide the safety of knowing your children and pets are able to run freely and not escape through the driveway. With automatic gates you are able to close the gate and secure the yard so that they can run free without worry of running into the road or having someone enter into the space that should not be there.

Protection: Automatic gates offer a great degree of protection. You are able to determine who is allowed in. Many communities offer residents a card to swipe or a code. You then are able as residents of this community to enter at your own free will. The nice part of this is that you are able to control the gate access to outsiders. Many subdivisions will have a call box where visitors can call the resident they wish to visit and the resident can let them in through the gate. This offers protection from outsiders who do not belong in the area from entering.

Style: Automatic gates add style and give a luxurious feel to a home or subdivision. This notion adds value to your home and property. Gates are becoming more a part of landscaping design than the eye sore they used to be. Materials such as wrought iron and aluminum make the automatic gates more beautiful than ever before. Swing gates are grand and elegant and appeal to the masses. You can choose designs that are styled after picket fences, modern fences, gothic style fences and so many more. Whatever feeling you want for your property the style of the gate can be designed to match.
Even though gates look expensive, ad style, safety and protection they are still very affordable for consumers. Automatic gates are now more convenient than ever. They can be controlled through keypads, remote controls and some even with scanning devices. How nice would it be every night when you get home from a long day at work to drive up has the gates open for you and enter into your kingdom that has been protected from outsiders all day?
